1. Who we are
Flyline (“Flyline”, “we”, “us”) is an independent travel agency operating the website flyline.it.com. We are not an airline and are not affiliated with any airline. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through this website, by telephone, by email and through our advertising.
Registered entity: Flyline
Registered address: 333 Fremont St, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States
Email: support@flyline.it.com · Phone: +1 (845) 410-3309
For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, Flyline is the controller of the personal information described here.
2. Information we collect
| Category | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, email address, telephone number | You, via our form or on a call |
| Trip details | Origin and destination, dates, number of travellers, cabin class, special requirements | You |
| Passenger details (booking only) | Name as shown on ID, date of birth, passport or ID number, frequent-flyer number | You, when you choose to book |
| Payment details | Card or bank details, billing address | You — processed by our payment provider, not stored by us |
| Technical data | IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, advertising click identifiers | Automatically, via cookies and similar technologies |
| Call records | Call metadata and, where you are told at the start of the call, recordings | Our telephone system |
We do not ask for and do not want special-category information such as health, religious or biometric data. If a booking genuinely requires it (for example a mobility assistance request), we collect only what the airline needs and pass it straight on.
3. How we use it
- To prepare and send you the quote you asked for.
- To contact you by phone, SMS or email about that request, where you gave us consent to do so.
- To issue, change, cancel or refund tickets and to support your itinerary.
- To take payment and to detect and prevent fraud.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including conversion measurement on Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and similar platforms.
- To keep records we are required to keep, including proof of the consent you gave us to call you.
- To respond to complaints, enforce our terms and comply with law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
4. Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
- Contract — to arrange and service a booking you asked for.
- Consent — for marketing calls, SMS and email, and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to run and secure our business, prevent fraud and improve our service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting and aviation or border-security requirements.
5. Who we share it with
- Airlines and other travel suppliers, to make and service the booking.
- Global distribution systems and consolidators that hold airline inventory.
- Payment processors, who handle card details under their own security standards.
- Service providers we rely on — hosting, CRM, telephony, email delivery, analytics — under contracts that limit them to acting on our instructions.
- Advertising platforms, for conversion measurement, where you consented to marketing cookies.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, including advance passenger information given to border agencies.
6. Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to remember your cookie choice and, with your consent, to measure advertising. Non-essential cookies are only set after you select “Accept all” in our cookie banner. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, the DAA opt-out and Your Online Choices.
7. Calls, SMS and recordings
When you tick the consent box on our form, you agree that we may contact you by telephone, SMS and email about the trip you described, including using automated dialling technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out, or email support@flyline.it.com to be added to our internal do-not-call list. We keep a record of the consent you gave, including the wording shown to you and the time you submitted it.
Calls may be recorded for training and quality purposes. Where recording applies you will be told at the start of the call.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that never became a booking: up to 24 months from last contact.
- Booking and payment records: 7 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Consent records: for as long as we may need to evidence them, and at least 5 years.
- Call recordings: 12 months unless a dispute requires longer.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and staff training to protect personal information, and we require our providers to do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your rights we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@flyline.it.com. We will respond within the period the applicable law requires (30 days in most cases, 45 in California). We may need to verify your identity first. You will not be charged, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.
11. US state privacy rights
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah or another state with comprehensive privacy legislation, you have the rights described above, plus the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising. Flyline does not sell personal information and does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. To opt out of targeted advertising, select “Essential only” in our cookie banner or email us. Californian residents may use an authorised agent, and may request the categories of information collected, the purposes, and the categories of recipients — all of which are set out in sections 2, 3 and 5 above.
12. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 except as part of a booking made by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
13. International transfers
Air travel is international by nature, so your information may be transferred to airlines, suppliers and service providers outside your country, including outside the EEA and UK. Where we do that we rely on an adequacy decision or on Standard Contractual Clauses, and we take the additional steps the law requires.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Where a change materially affects your rights we will tell you before it takes effect.
